The Rhino's Plea
Earth - a planet draped in green and blue,
Bathed in the warmth of golden rays.
Perfection in every way - a perfect home, a perfect day.
Beneath the beauty of the dawn, the dark night makes its call.
Majestic giants bleed at sea,
pierced by spears of iron and disrespect.
Black teared cats reduced to a few,
once ran free but now are cornered and fenced.
Can you hear the rhino's plea....?
"despite what you may believe,
my horn is of no use to you,
but very useful to me."
Extinction is forever, solutions are few.
The survival of our planet is up to me and up to you.

Plight of the Butterfly
A rainbow of color fills the sky. A display of beauty - natures pride.
Fluttering, gliding, high and low.
a moment of glamor, a moment for show.
Who on earth delights our day?
Did I play a part in some small way?
To know their needs shows that I am aware.
To play an active roll shows that I care.
Their beauty was not always so.
They were once a menace, an unwanted foe.
Hungry caterpillars are not always friends.
The perfect garden has no place for them.
Perfection comes in many forms.
My perfect garden has food for all.
